The author sums up the book himself on page 266: "The conflict comes down to this: between one's loyalty to an institution one believes was founded by Christ and which one pledges to support with one's work and vision and one's loyalty to the truth as a supreme good which must be told if the institution one admires and supports is in the deepest sense to be honored and protected."I am not a Catholic so I have no dogs in this fight per se. But as a Christian I have an absolute interest in the truth, especially as it pertains to the ministers of Jesus and the examples that they set. That example either encourages people to come to Christ or repels them from even the thought of doing that. Vigano, the subject of the book, Is a modern day whistleblower. Who can blame him for trying to protect young people? His motives are made clear in the book; he is what he says he is. Why should protecting the innocent be so controversial in the so called church of Christ? Is child molestation, mostly of boys, something to be swept under the rug, as this present Pope is doing?Vigano plainly calls him a liar. Is it OK for the vicar of Christ to be covering up a scandal when Jesus himself said that it were better that we were weighted down with a millstone and thrown into the ocean than to offend one of these little one's who believe in him? The sins of the Pope are outrageous!Read this book and pray for the thousands of people offended, the innocent children offended. The author should be commended for his work. And those who condemn this light should be condemned.
